FAN PAGE CUSTOMIZATION
This is a very easy page to use and install an attractive welcome page. Oh yeah, and since you’re in the TV business and VIDEO is your #1 modality for delivering content, you can add a you tube video box app from this site as well. To keep up with the highly visual theme, there’s also a photo gallery and Flickr tab apps. You can even install an app to poll people. Very useful page to bookmark!
The Wildfire Iframe app is currently free and works well. It’s easy to install and has fan-only content capability. You can use your own image as your Welcome page or if you want to spruce it up, you can do HTML programming.
This is another great Iframe application and if you want more options, you can customize your Facebook Page with contests, sweepstakes, videos and custom forms.
This is the app I personally used when creating my Facebook like gate. The app is very easy to use if you want to have multiple photos and don’t know anything about coding apps.
By far the best site I have ever found for creating webpages and fan pages! As a matter of fact, many of things you see on this webpage were created with the help of Fiverr folks! Hire people for 5 bucks to do things like design an attractive fan page, drive traffic to your site or even record a testimonial for you. And ALL costs $5. You pay by pay pal and you can track your work in progress, exchange files and communicate. Pretty fascinating stuff
Add a Facebook “fan of the week” app to get more comments, posts, likes and fans. Every week, one fan out of those who interacted with your page is picked as “fan of the week.” This encourages everyone to participate more. It’s fully automated and picks a random fan for you. Once you install it, you don’t have to do anything else, it runs itself. Easy to install and effective at generating fan page interaction!
This gives points to fans for posting, commenting or liking stuff on your wall. A custom tab called Top Fans will appear on your page that enables you to track all your fans’ activities. A pro version also lets you allocate perks. Fans get the points for posting to your wall and they also receive points for posting likes and comments. You can view the stats of each fan listed and see how they have participated. The app also gives you a complete history of each fan’s activity on your page.
Got a blog? This lets you connect it to your Facebook page, which auto-publishes each post you write onto Facebook. Fans can like, comment, or share directly from Facebook. Even though I will say it’s always best to manually post to FB for engagement purposes, sometimes automation is very helpful when you know you’re not going to be near a computer. The app puts the title of the blog post, the first picture in the post and the first few lines of the post on your Facebook page. This will allow for easy sharing of your posts by others.
You can’t be on Facebook 24/7, so use Post Planner to schedule posts there. It has the added perk of enabling you to schedule posts with pictures or video. And you can schedule your posts for specific times. The only drawback, if there is one, is that it costs $4.95 a month to do so.
Make it easy for people to get in touch with you with a contact form on your Facebook page. With the Contact Me App you can add many different fields and customize the form.
Many people wonder how to add a newsletter signup to their page. There are lots of ways, but what I like about the Constant Contact application is that it is very simple to use. You will have to establish an account with the Constant Contact email service. The signup doesn’t allow for a lot of bells and whistles, but you can add text to talk about your newsletter and even a picture. For people who are intimidated by code and too much customizing, this application can be the way to go.
This puts the Internet to work for you. You can monitor the Internet for stories or articles on your subject area and IFTT will automatically create status message on Facebook and can even send a text message.
This is the post scheduler I personally use. For those of you who follow me on FB, Twitter and Linked In I post nearly every day with this tool. Posts, videos, photos etc. With the proper planning, one day of scheduling posts gets me through 3-4 months with this tool. Automation is truly a lifesaver! I highly recommend it.
